its been a while since i got back from my trip, almost a week, i figured i would fill you in on the details - and of course not all of them, im sure i will forget at least 30% of it.

The trip started out on an ominous note as we went through security, and the guy said, “i need to check this bag” i said sure because i didnt figure my grandpa would be packing nuclear devices in his carry-on. I was wrong, he packed his ‘good french cutting scissors.’ And well, no they werent weapons, but to be honest, they looked like freekin daggers, im not one to be scared of a box cutter, but these scissors were HUGE, and he ahd about 4 pairs. WHAT?! now i figured we could just toss them and get ont the plane, but they were special to him so i had to run the back out to my mom to take home. that was about 3.05PM my flight was at 3.25PM when i got back at 3.16 the security guy made me wait in the 30 minute line, even though the first security guy told him to let me back through when i came back. I finally got through and ran to my gate, which happened to be the farthest possible away from where i was. When i got there 3.23PM, they said ‘kyle?’ and i said ‘oh no..’ they told me they had bad news, and that i wasnt getting on the flight, and couldnt get to newark (where my connecting international flight was) until tomorrow. Just as the told me that i heard over their radios that my travel companions were refusing to fly without me. The airline guy said that it wouldnt matter and i wouldnt get through anyway. Regardless, my sister was making a fuss on the plane and the ended up putting the jetway back out and opening the boarding door, and i got on. The lady driving the jetway was like, ‘not in my entire 30 year career have i ever done this’ i dont see why she was so upset, it was either let me on or open up the cargo holds and find and remove all my bags, international law wont let them fly with bags belonging to a passenger that didnt board. Anyway, I thanked the pilot when i got off, and thought to myself.. ‘this will be an interesting trip…’
