Nachi - the good(?) virus.
Published by kfiducia July 28th, 2004 in News, va2.0, UncategorizedWell, I have often thought of how well these would fare out on the internet, attacking the prevalent viruses, removing them, and patching the infected computer. I imagined people would be just as pissed about a good virus as a bad one, just because they don’t know what is really going on inside their computer. The Nachi virus is a perfect example of these threats, if you can call them that. Microsoft is still warning people about it, even though it installs their patch. Slashdot has a follow-up article asking people their opinions, it seems most people don’t like them either way. I personally think anti-bodies are a great idea, why throw some-one in jail for using unorthodox methods of fixing a wide-spread problem?
On another note, for some extremly strange reason, which is still a mystery to me, my site went down this morning, it should be fully functional once again. New project coming soon, DNS entries propagating…
