Generally, I like to disagree with everything any politician has ever said

BUT

evan, if you can't change lanes without getting into an accident, then please STAY at home. You don't know how to drive! The crazy thing about driving is that sometimes (read frequently) you have to check your blind spots, use your mirrors and change lanes SAFELY. What a concept, you should try it sometime (say for example, to move out of the PASSING lane). You sitting in the fast lane because you are travelling PLENTY fast enough, darn it, is way more dangerous than you just getting out of the passing lane, SAFELY, after completing a pass. Don't forget your blind spot...

The safest roads ARE the highways because you don't have to deal with oncoming traffic (save for the occasional blue hair driving up the off ramp) or any intersections. All traffic flows in one direction, just faster than the other roads. This is the perfect opportunity for you and all the drivers like you to practice your lane changing.

Don't drive in the passing lane. If someone wants to drive faster than you, don't worry about it. I am sure some people will be going faster than you, just like some people are going slower than you. You are not a pace car for the entire highway, you are just another jerk in the way.

I wish the police would enfore all the rules of the road, rather than just some specific rules to help them meet quotas or whatever. yes, speeding and tailgaiting etc... should be enforced, but evan should also get busted for sitting in the passing lane because he is scared to change lanes.

I think everyone should be required to drive in Germany for at least one month for drivers ed. I also like their driving laws - get stopped for OUI - the police just tear up your license on the spot and you are done - FOREVER.

Ok, since I was dragged into this....If you are in the left lane....move the hell out of the way ( http://www.fhp.state.fl.us/misc/images/LeftLane.jpg ) It is actually the law and it does actually piss everyone off. It isn't more dangerous to change lanes, if it was then why the hell did you change lanes to get there in the first place....that's a pretty lame answer. Speaking of Germany.....did you know that on the German Autobahn and the Italian Autostrada that if you hang out in the left lane they are going to wack you right in the kiester....and you'll have to pay for it. Cause it's your fault. Here...$112.50 (Orlando that is). There is just so many other things going on, it's kinda dumb to write it, but I must say, I have, and they deserved it. (45 in the left lane...huh, not on my watch). And 1 last thing...it's also the same lane that every emergency vehicle uses to get to an emergency. So remember the next time your there in the left lane....it could be your loved one....[Sorry, some jerk was in the left lane and wouldn't move over....] You'll never know the feeling of running 130+mph with lights and siren going down the interstate and coming up to an overpass. As you go over the top there is some jerk off going 65 in the left lane with no other car in sight for miles. Thank God for ABS Brakes!

your wrong - I checked with Spencer - you can get pulled over and be ticketed for it - it's section 316.08 of the FL statues - they just have not enforced it to date - but with any luck that will change with this new proposed legislation

i think holding up traffic would be travelling under the speed limit or not with/faster the speed of traffic. In which case I would agree with you, they should move. However, if you are going 85 in a 70 or 75 or even 65 as I-4 can be, you have no obligation to move out of the way for someone like, say Kyle, who for reasons unknown has to get past you and to his apartment at the speed of light. I forgot how driver's ed referred to the passing lane as 'Kyle Fiducia and other idiot's lane.' How bout instead of the non-dangerous road, not a road-hungry asshole going to Germany, we send you instead and see how long your Golf lasts?
