tonight’s very sobering experience

tonight we kicked off spring break with a rather large, probably largest ive yet been to, party at jamison’s in honor of John and Joe. although few were sober, many still felt the very real essence of the occasion. as our dear freinds leave for Afganistan in the morning, for a year and a half tour of duty - we continue our lives, trying to fathom what that is like. leaving our freinds, our homes, our belongings, everything we know, to live in a foreign place with an uncertain future. i’m sure John and Joe will settle in just fine and be back home safely before i even graduate.

we’ll all be thinking of you guys, keep in touch, see you soon.

    it was just a little weird for me will…one of my friends that was down to UCF called me like ten minutes after you did and was like “yea…um…i hooked up with your ex” and I was like, “which one?” and of course, the obvious, it was your sister. i laughed then fell asleep before having to work like 12 hours that day. damn yous!!!
