nice work guys anybody wanna go to it? hawaii for xmas? sounds fun.
someone please get this guy a speak-and-spell for the holidays.
soon exams will be over and i can do more useful things with my time like write about useless stuff on the internet, i have a whole bunch of articles pending but have yet to find time to publish them. anyway, while we all eagerly wait, please submit your suggestions to be included as part of the holiday gift guide. im putting it together to help aging loved ones find gifts for people our age, because they actually still try. i told my mom to PLEASE not get me anything; but i would like to compile an accurate cross-section of desirable items at least to mark the current trends. i also like avoiding the awkward “you just gave me an even more useless piece of crap than that thing i got last year when i swore i would never live to see the day i got a more useless and retarded gift” as i don’t know wether to laugh and let you return it, or pretend like i actually want the trinket cluttering up my already disheveled room. just a note, i think this year i’m not accepting ANY gifts unless they are extremely shiny or useful, or do not need a place to be put ie; airplane tickets are fine. instead i have opted for the much more simple and economic method of gift giving. Find that one of a kind crapfest you were going to actually waste your hard-earned money on, take a picture of it, or draw it, place that in a card or other simple wrapping method, and say, hey this is what i got you. Try and make it realistic, I mean, those porsche pics are preposterous, but have a little fun, i mean you aren’t actually spending the money. This method allows for all that “thought that counts” ideology and goes a bit easier on cramped pockets, we all have enough crap anyway.
so send in your wishlist or ideas for my hopefully-soon-to-be-published holiday gift guide.
email, IM, or comments work. you never know, i might just feel generous enough to give the best suggestion their wish.
anyone know if tickets are still available?
its that time of year again, it wouldn’t feel like the holidays without long drives, long nights studying, cough, and longing for the end of the semester. it will be over soon, hope you all had a nice thanksgiving, i know i enjoy catching up with old friends and their families. yeah, it was my birthday a little while ago, people asked me why i didn’t have my bday info on facebook (accurately), well paranoia really. but well deserved according to RSA, don’t forget, the internet is not a friendly place.
the ‘news’ is touting its other less famous term, “cyber monday,” after numbers came back. sounds a bit kinky, but really its akin to black friday, where profits soar for retails stores nation-wide. last monday saw a 26% increase in sales for online retailers, the winner, eBay. although we don’t do nearly $12M in sales in a day, our sales were up 100%, i like that trend.
in other news according to the wall street journal, apple’s imac has become the gold standard in PCs. their complaint: no memory slot. my response: what?
i’ve seen all sorts of positive things about them lately, and seeing more people buying this season, i’m gunna say a strong buy and expect to see profits soar on the earnings report in jan. possibly a split at ~$80? something to add to your portfolio? hrrmmm? anyone know when google posts earnings?
smokey mountains trip pics posted, check out where i rashed my bike
